Archtop Fiber Selected to Empower New York’s Sullivan County with Next-Gen Connectivity

Thanks to a nearly $30 million ConnectALL Municipal Infrastructure Grant from New York State, Sullivan County is set to light up its communities with widespread high-speed Internet access — and Archtop Fiber is helping to make it happen.

With this game-changing grant, Archtop Fiber will help build over 1,200 miles of publicly owned fiber-optic infrastructure across Sullivan County, creating a strong foundation for reliable, fast and affordable Internet access. They will bring high-speed, symmetrical Internet (where upload and download speeds match) to more than 22,000 homes and businesses, all at prices below regional averages.

“We’re honored to have been selected to partner with Sullivan County on this incredible initiative that goes beyond connectivity – it’s about creating real opportunities for economic growth, education and healthcare in our communities,” says Shawn Beqaj, Chief Development Officer of Archtop Fiber. “Through New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s ConectALL initiative, we’re proud to serve as a dedicated local partner, bringing our expertise in fiber-optic construction to serve over 22,000 homes and businesses.”

With a shared commitment to bridging digital gaps throughout the community, Archtop Fiber and Sullivan County are paving the way for a future where broadband is accessible, equitable and transformative.

Since early 2024, Archtop has launched service in Kingston, Saugerties, Rhinebeck, and Warwick, New York.
