AIRSYS Cooling Technologies Inc. is making a major investment in both the future of data centers and the South Carolina community where it operates with its groundbreaking last week on a new $40 million headquarters facility.
The new AIRSYS Global HQ building in Woodruff, S.C. will comprise more than 264,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space—including collaborative training and showroom spaces—and will be the home for more than 20 different AIRSYS products. The state-of-the-art manufacturing campus will bring more than 215 new jobs in the upstate South Carolina region, which AIRSYS selected based on the local workforce potential and supportive business environment.
“Today, we don’t just break ground—we give shape to a dream,” said Yunshui Chen, CEO and founder of AIRSYS, in announcing the groundbreaking. “It’s a dream fueled by bold innovation, shared by a passionate team, and embraced by a community that inspires us every step of the way.”

AIRSYS, which celebrates its 30th anniversary as a global company this year, is at the forefront of liquid cooling innovation, a critical need for data centers driven by the proliferation of AI technologies. Liquid cooling optimizes energy efficiency, reduces environmental impact, and ensures data centers are ready for the challenges and demands of AI computing, which increases data center power and heat generation by 10 to 12 times.
According to AIRSYS, data center operators can lower total cost of ownership by as much as 40 percent by deploying liquid cooling solutions, realizing savings through decreased energy consumption, reduced maintenance requirements, and minimized future capital expenditures.
The AIRSYS’ new headquarters is designed around innovation and sustainability concepts that are integral parts of the company’s vision to lead the industry in scalable, energy-efficient solutions for next-generation digital infrastructure and promotes employee well-being and a strong connection to the environment. Some of the prominent eco-conscious elements of the facility include:
- LED lighting throughout (accounting for approximately 25% of the building’s energy conversation)
- A white roof to reduce heat loads
- Outdoor patios and terraces
- A 1,000-square-foot butterfly garden
- Multiple water features

The state-of-the-art facility will sit under nearly six acres of roof and house over 7.68 million cubic feet of operational volume—enough space to stack more than 100 Olympic swimming pools floor to ceiling. It also features the world’s largest liquid cooling 3D printer factory, which makes customized liquid cooling solutions fast and affordable and guarantees precision design customized to each server board.
The new AIRSYS facility is slated to open in Q1 of 2026.
