Nautilus Debuts Expanded High-Performance Positive Pressure Cooling Distribution Unit

Nautilus Data Technologies announced a major performance expansion for its EcoCore Facility Cooling Distribution (FCD). As the data center industry continues towards extreme-density AI and HPC workloads, Nautilus has optimized its modular FCD platform to align with the future of direct liquid cooling.

Meeting Escalating Thermal Demands

Why introduce a high-performance positive pressure configuration? To support the thermal and flow demands of the latest processor architectures and to comply with NVIDIA Core certification requirements. This creates an alternative to the unit’s vacuum-based option by leveraging parallel 30HP pumps to address the significant pressure drops associated with modern liquid cooling loops. Key features of this expanded configuration include several initiatives to meet rising industry demands:

  • Operate both pumps simultaneously at full speed to provide the rated flow and thermal capacity required for today’s greatest chip demands like the NVIDIA Rubin GPU
  • Approach a consistent cooling capacity of 4MW by operating the pumps in parallel
  • Provide internal pump-level redundancy that complements the existing system-level redundancy
  • Ensure long-term loop integrity and performance through robust and integrated filtration

“With this new configuration, we’re not just meeting the market where it is currently but aligning with the future roadmaps of major chip manufacturers. Nautilus provides the high-pressure, high-flow capabilities required to cool every direct liquid cooling chipset currently available, as well as those projected for the future.” – Rob Pfleging, CEO, Nautilus Data Technologies

Flexible and Future-Proof Infrastructure

The positive pressure configuration will become the default for the EcoCore FCD to ensure broad compatibility with AI infrastructure. In addition, Nautilus will continue to offer its proven proprietary leak-prevention configuration for facilities that need it.

“This expansion gives our customers the flexibility to choose the right solution for their specific infrastructure, whether that is the extreme density support of our parallel pumping mode or the leak prevention of our vacuum mode.” – Rob Pfleging, CEO, Nautilus Data Technologies
