Hibernia Networks today announced that Zayo has selected Hibernia Express for 100G augmentation to its transatlantic network. Zayo will utilize the newest, lowest latency transatlantic cable to meet increased bandwidth demand from the U.S. to Europe and to ensure the delivery of the end-to-end solutions customers require.
The secure, diverse and high capacity Hibernia Express cable will provide Hibernia customers with unmatched services and connectivity. Luckily, customers do not have to wait much longer as it was announced this week that the cable ships laying the fiber for this historic build are in the Atlantic. Three separate ships are laying over 4,500km of cable, which is scheduled for delivery of service in September 2015.
“We are pleased that Zayo has selected Hibernia Express for the additional capacity required to meet growing customer demand across the Atlantic,” states Omar Altaji, CCO of Hibernia Networks. “This further strengthens the mutually beneficial partnership between Zayo and Hibernia, and we look forward to continuing the relationship to build a better connected network together.”
