November 8th could prove to be a very big day for WireIE. The wholesale network operator specialized in the deployment of MEF-Certified Carrier Ethernet networks to Canada’s underserved markets has been shortlisted for the Capacity Global Carrier Awards and the 2016 MEF Excellence Awards. The award ceremonies for both will be held next week, November 8, at the 11th Annual Global Carrier Awards in Paris and at the MEF Excellence Awards dinner in Baltimore.
WireIE was recognized by both awards programs for its MEF CE 2.0 E certified nomadic Ethernet solution, which enables carrier-grade, MEF-certified Ethernet to underserved and hard to reach markets. Customers in these regions often face issues running real-time business critical applications due to the high latencies and low bandwidths of satellite – often their only option for connectivity. WireIE’s Ethernet solutions eliminate the communications divide between the field and the office, resulting in enhanced efficiency, lower costs and the ability to leverage new opportunities.
“WireIE’s MEF carrier-grade network has been recognized by multiple awards programs for its quality, reliability and innovation,” states Rob Barlow, CEO and President of WireIE. “Our network was one of the first to receive MEF CE 2.0 certification, the most advanced standard for carrier-grade Ethernet network operators, due to its exemplary service delivery. We’re honored to continue to be recognized by MEF for our network’s ability to deliver high-quality, low latency carrier-grade Ethernet to underserved markets.”
