As always ViaWest is focused on the future and making things happen. The company welcomes the newest member of their team to run the Northwest market based out of Oregon. Bill Cory will serve as Regional Vice President and lead ViaWest’s continued market expansion in the region and focus on enhancing the local customer experience, partner strategy, and cloud and managed services expansion. Focusing on the launch of ViaWest’s new Brookwood Data Center, Cory will start in July 2015.
Oregon is a big technology hub and home to many enterprises and tech-based companies. With a rich business and technology ecosystem, Oregon also offers low power costs and low business tax rates, making it very attractive for companies to house IT infrastructures.
Between the tax savings and reduced power costs in Oregon, businesses that are eligible for the full complement of savings may potentially reduce their costs by 30% or more compared to colocation options in neighboring states.
“Oregon continues to be a hotbed for data center growth and development,” comments Bill Cory, Regional Vice President of ViaWest’s Oregon/Pacific Northwest market. “I am excited to join the ViaWest team and continue ViaWest’s legacy of providing excellent customer support and robust hybrid solutions. I look forward to building on ViaWest’s position as an IT infrastructure partner to companies, enabling them to focus on accelerating their businesses.”
