As 2016 kicks off, our event planning experts at JSA want to share some hot trends to keep an eye out for at upcoming industry meetings and events.
Ballrooms and boardrooms can be (yawn) boring! The pop-up event space concept is hot right now with warehouses, empty lots and rooftops being utilized for events. We know everyone is looking forward to attending some cool events this year that are in refreshing and out of the ordinary spaces.
This is something JSA has been doing for years and glad to see that it’s becoming a trend! To get the most ROI at an event, it is important that you meet with the right people. More and more attendees are using tools to sync up with their top prospects prior to the event to schedule meetings.
As a best practice, all event planners should have an emergency plan in place. Attending an event should be fun and participants should not have to think twice about their safety. Keep an eye out for an increased security presence at events you attend this year.
Streamlined Event Apps
Event planners are moving away from multiple tools and event apps to one streamlined app. One app that has all of the features attendees are looking for such as the agenda, speaker bio’s, floor plans, social media feeds and even the attendee match making tool, all in one convenient place.
The “farm to fork” concept is not only hot in restaurants; it has reached the events industry as well. Caterers and event venues are now focusing on locally sourced products to keep menus fresh and healthy for attendees, which is something we can all appreciate.
JSA already has a packed event schedule for 2016. We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events, including Telecom Exchange New York, June 22nd at Cipriani Wall Street.
