An industry-leading provider of high-speed Internet, all digital TV and phone services, RCN Business announces it has been selected by WBL Services to provide Big Data connectivity for the media center’s communications and data transport in the New York tri-state area for the “Big Game” this Sunday.
What does that mean, exactly?
As part of the agreement, RCN Business is providing big data circuits to WBL Services to enable HDTV live video and advanced voice communications, allowing millions of Americans this weekend to enjoy the play-by-play action, from the stadium to their living rooms. Connectivity includes the MetLife Stadium, home of the “Big Game”, the Sheraton NYC, and the “Big Game” Boulevard (Broadway from 34th Street to 42nd Street). Connectivity also includes other key locations, such as 1441 Broadway, Pennsylvania Hotel and 1133 Avenue of the Americas.
“RCN Business installed these large data circuits well ahead of time despite the short notice,” states Bill Lipscomb, Senior Principal of WBL Services. “The communication network was installed in a very professional, efficient manner with prompt and transparent support from RCN’s 24-hour operations team. As a result, we are ready and look forward to this weekend’s ‘Big Game’.”
“We are proud to contribute to the infrastructure for New Jersey and New York City’s ‘Big Game,’ with our Big Data solutions,” continues Bruce Abbott, General Manager, and VP for RCN New York. “Our partnership with WBL Services showcases our ability to deliver communication services to national and global companies that require prompt, efficient and trouble-free services, so that companies like WBL can focus on supporting their clients without worrying about their network security or reliability.”
