Today, Syndeo Network, a fiber-optic based broadband communications service provider, announced its selection of MRV’s OptiDriver® to upgrade and streamline its WDM network. Syndeo was in need of an upgrade that would support its ever-growing customer traffic demands, both presently and into the future – enter MRV’s metro optical transport solution.
In addition to Syndeo providing telecommunications services to 21 counties in northern Illinois, the company also own a fiber installation subsidiary, DeKalb Fiber Optics, that serves education, enterprise, and government institutions. OptiDriver® – which can evolve to support greater bandwidth needs with lower power requirements, all with a compact footprint – provides Syndeo with increased capacity for its WDM backbone with future-proof growth that can support 100G capabilities The upgraded network also includes MRV’s Pro-Vision® a Life Cycle Service Orchestration (LSO) service management and orchestration software platform that provides the ease of end-to-end optical service provisioning and management for Syndeo’s network.
