MRV Communications takes home the win again.
MRV, the global provider of innovative packet and optical solutions for service providers, data center operators and enterprises, announced today that its OptiPacket OP-X1 access platform was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Hardware Networking/New Product category — Annual American Business Awards. The OptiPacket OP-X1 combines the features and expertise of MRV’s optical and packet product suites.
Here’s what the judges had to say:
“The judges were extremely impressed with the quality of entries we received this year,” said Michael Gallagher, President and Founder of the Stevie Awards. “More than 3,400 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration and more than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. The competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud of its innovation and accomplishments.”
Who does this effect? Anyone needing higher bandwidth and looking to future proof their network.
The OP-X1 platform addresses the need for higher bandwidth requirements driven by the increased adoption of cloud services. It is the industry’s first purpose-built, 100G Ethernet access device, designed to extend 100G Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE 2.0) capabilities to the last mile and enable scalability to thousands of CE services, advanced OAM and traffic management, plus migration paths to SDN and NFV architectures.
“On behalf of MRV, I’d like to thank the judges for their thorough review and offer congratulations to the fellow winners,” said Zeev Draer, Vice President of Strategic Marketing for MRV. “MRV is proud to be recognized by the American Business Awards for our innovative OP-X1 solution. We’ve combined our deep industry knowledge to develop an intelligent and future-proof platform, which addresses the tremendous transformation that is occurring in metro networks and enables new, innovative and programmable 100G access services.”
