Event Organizers Running Raffle Contest for Anyone Who Missed Out on Purchasing Event Tickets
With busy lives at work and at home, it can get quite difficult to take the time to contemplate the beauty of human health and the sheer difficulty of life without it. Yet, for the approximately 40,000 babies born with congenital heart defects (CHDs) yearly in the United States, life is a struggle right from the moment they enter this world. For their parents who must balance the financial demands of raising a family with the physical and emotional rollercoaster CHDs bring, life is also no easy journey.
That is why the Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation (MOHF), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the families of children with CHDs, is uniting the community of St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, March 9 for its inaugural ‘A Mighty Night’ gala. Although the event has already reached capacity, the MOHF team is encouraging anyone who is interested in donating or attending next year to participate in a raffle contest for a Genovese Jewelers bangle bracelet. With 28 round diamonds and 13 oval rubies, the prize comes in at a retail value of $9000! The contest will be open through the ‘A Mighty Night’ gala with the winning ticket drawn at the end of the event proceedings.
With a ticket price of only $100, this truly is an excellent way to get involved in raising money to support children battling CHDs and their loving, supportive families. To purchase tickets, click here.
Started by Greg and Becky Ortyl, whose son Oakes was born with truncus arteriosis, a type of CHD, the MOHF provides financial grants to families in similar situations. Each year, the Foundation can support between 60 and 70 families; however, given the high number of children affected by CHD, the team would like to double its capacity to help those in need. The ‘A Mighty Night’ gala will therefore become the MOHF’s cornerstone, yearly fundraising event meant to provide donors with a recurring way to support the cause.
“We’re incredibly excited about our vision for an annual high-end black-tie gala and look forward to many more in the years to come,” says Brittney Weis, Director of Development at the MOHF. “As our signature fundraiser, in addition to dinner and dancing, we have prepared a variety of exciting attractions for guests including a live auction and a pop-up shop featuring high-end apparel and other sought-after boutique items. We are thrilled that the support has been overwhelming and resulted in a sold-out event, just in time for Valentine’s Day!”
