Congratulations to ViaWest’s Tamara Prazak who was awarded CRN’s 2015 Women of the Channel Award. Paving the way for channel success at ViaWest, Tamara’s diligence and many accomplishments earned her this award.
CRN’s “Women Of The Channel” is a special recognition of those female channel executives who have risen in the ranks of their organizations. These executives have made great strides and are leaving their mark on the technology channel.
As Strategic Marketing Manager for ViaWest, Tamara played a critical role in the implementation of ViaWest’s Regional Partner Engagement Strategy to provide greater emphasis on 1:1 relationships with partners throughout their regions. In addition, Tamara collaborated with corporate and regional marketing teams to create and implement a successful marketing outreach program for partners and their customers – including data center tours, partner events, webinars, newsletters, and online campaigns. Tamara also played a key role in refining ViaWest’s partner onboarding process to accelerate their time to earnings.
As you can see, putting customers and partners first, are central priorities at ViaWest and is reinforced throughout ViaWest’s culture by its CEO and CO-Founder, Nancy Phillips. Here are some thoughts from Tamara to other women in the channel marketplace: “My advice is to be yourself, work hard and have fun. Tapping into your creative side requires thinking outside the box, so don’t be afraid to be bold and speak your ideas. Lastly, if you’re not having fun and laughing every day, then you haven’t found a job that incites your passion.” Great suggestions for us all!
