Lightower Fiber Networks will moderate a panel titled “Building a Wired Economy: Demand in Massachusetts” as part of the Massachusetts Broadband Summit. Lightower’s Chris Williams, Director of Complex Solutions, will moderate a panel of industry executives on Wednesday evening, November 14, 2012, at the MIT Stata Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The Massachusetts Broadband Summit is organized by TechNet and the Massachusetts Broadband Institute to bring light to the topic of the wired economy in the Commonwealth. The evening’s agenda is focused on how Massachusetts is working with public and private partnerships to drive a national leadership position in broadband adoption. Discussion will also focus on how advanced technologies and essential infrastructure development will help drive the modern economy.
“Both the National and Massachusetts economies thrive on industries that require access to advanced communications networks,” commented Rob Shanahan, CEO of Lightower. “Every day, we see the impact that access to advanced networking solutions can have on a business, as was envisioned by Governor Duval Patrick through the Massachusetts Broadband Institute. Lightower works with businesses to implement the infrastructure that will drive new business and provide efficiencies in industries such as financial services, health care, education, technology, government and media, to name just a few.”
Earlier in 2012, the Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI) selected Lightower to provide a diverse network solution as part of its initiative for MassBroadband123. Lightower was also recently awarded a position on the Massachusetts ITT46 Network
