  1. Identify Your Voice – This is one of JSA’s overall branding and social media rules. Know your brand ‘voice’ and stay consistent with it. Your tone at an event will be a lot more casual than your latest press release, but there still needs to be consistency. Make sure your community can relate your brand to how you present your message.

  1. Be Personal – An event is a time to build your network, and being personable and relatable are two sure ways to develop a strong network. This should also carry over to your social media at events. Did you just watch the coolest keynote? Share that with your community. Being authentic is how you achieve your brand ‘voice’.

  1. Post Photos – We all know a picture is worth a thousand words, well during an event a picture on your social media accounts, really is. Photos receive significantly higher views, likes and re-posts vs. text based posts. This also supports our last tip of ‘being personal’ and shows that your company is made up of real people.
