Kicking off this year’s busy fall conference season, our team had the opportunity to attend Channel Partners Evolution in Philadelphia – and what a great event it was! The 3-day expo did not disappoint, showcasing over 150 suppliers and bringing new pioneering channel ideas to the forefront.
In addition to spending time with our JSA extended family – our clients – our CEO Jaymie Scotto Cutaia was able to sit down with other industry thought-leaders in the Chorus Communications Lounge for JSA TV.
Of the several JSA TV interviews conducted, we’re proud to feature the first few, including Mike Oeth, CEO of OnSIP. To jump right in, Jaymie asked him what makes OnSIP’s channel program so unique.
“It all starts with our people,” Mr. Oeth said. “Watching them sell shoulder to shoulder with our agents. Our team is completely involved helping our agents bring unique, creative, and innovative products to the marketplace.”
One thing we found especially interesting about OnSIP’s channel model is its proprietary assets. “The platform is entirely ours, it’s our software from start to finish,” he said. “This gives us total control over the products, the features, and the billing,” – a real differentiator for their agents.

Next up, we caught up with Warren Reyburn, CRO & EVP of Telesystem. We were particularly interested in hearing from Telesystem as the company was named ChannelVision’s Channel Program of the Year for 2018. So, what’s the team’s secret?
“Integrity,” Mr. Reyburn said. “It’s a matter of the trust and confidence thats been developed historically with our partners, and the relationships that we’ve engineered over the course of our business.”
How can agents benefit from partnering with Telesystem? Warren Reyburn tells us that their average subscriber’s length of relationship is 9 years – which provides residual income that their partners can count on. “It comes back to standing by what we sell, being accountable for what we sell, engineering and delivering on those solutions.”

Last but certainly not least, we talk SD-WAN technology with Kelly Ahuja, CEO of Versa Networks. As a major thought leader in this space, we had to start off by asking Mr. Ahuja where he sees the SD-WAN trend heading.
“SD-WAN is happening now and is happening in a big way, he says, “And what’s driving that transformation? The transition that enterprises are making to becoming digital – that shift over from a private to a hybrid or multi-cloud infrastructure in SaaS is driving the need for a WAN transformation.”
Mr. Ahuja also adds that what makes Versa Networks different is their software defined branch, their ability to break out their applications. They have a broad go-to market, they have a great technology set, and they have security built in to their solution.
