Under the current federal law, providers are required to report to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) using Form 477. These reports are due each year on March 1 and September 1.

Inteserra Consulting Group, a Florida-based consultancy firm specializing in the telecommunications, VoIP services, internet, and wireless MVNO industries, is proud to announce their support for clients in need of 477 Reporting services.

Per FCC regulations, the following parties must file a 477 Report:

  • Facilities-based providers of broadband connections to end user locations
  • Providers of wired or fixed wireless local exchange telephone service
  • Providers of interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service
  • Facilities-based providers of mobile telephony service

The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau notes that failure of providers to file Form 477 may result in a minimum $3,000 fine. Inteserra encourages providers to file these reports timely in order to avoid penalties or other action from the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau.

“Inteserra understands that FCC regulations can sometimes be complex for service providers,” says Sharon Thomas, President & Consultant for Inteserra. “Our job is to ensure that service providers are compliant andhave all of the tools they need to accurately report in light of the ever-changing regulatory environment. Though these reports are federally mandated, Inteserra clients have utilized data from their filings to assess changes in their customer base and to inform their sales and networking strategies.”

Inteserra’s 477 Reporting service allows those within the telecom sector to easily produce their compliance reports for electronic submission. This service allows clients to track and meet their filing deadlines, ensuring that regulations are met and to avoid late fees and penalties.

Inteserra is committed to helping service providers maintain a competitive advantage, ensuring they keep pace with market intelligence to adjust their business strategies.
