Hibernia Networks is the recipient of the Most Innovative Global Optical Transport and Ethernet Services at the TMT News 2016 Technology Awards. The awards celebrate those who have contributed to innovative, cutting-edge advances in the technology sector. Hibernia Networks’ Protected Wavelength Service, as well as the new industry benchmark for latency performance set by the company, led to its recognition.
Hibernia Networks’ Protected Wavelength Service, announced in May, leverages the company’s three wholly owned cables and is the only protected wavelength service on the transatlantic route. The service offers less than 50 milliseconds failover switching to a fully dedicated alternative circuit, which provides secure and resilient connectivity on the transatlantic corridor. Hibernia Networks also offers the fastest network connections between key markets on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean via its Ultra Low Latency services. These services are powered by Hibernia Express, the low latency, high capacity subsea transatlantic cable, which guarantees a latency of more than 5 milliseconds faster than the next fastest service between New York and London.
“We’re honored to be recognized by TMT News for our industry leading Optical and Ethernet services,” states Omar Altaji, Chief Commercial Officer at Hibernia Networks. “We are committed to staying at the forefront of innovation, providing customers with the lowest latency network solutions that directly impact their revenue performance and profitability.”
