Montreal gets a little more well-connected today, as eStruxture, a prominent Canadian provider of network and cloud-neutral data center solutions, announces its expanded partnership with Cogent Communications. The two companies have already been in business together, with Cogent’s presence in eStruxture’s MTL-1 data center, but the two have decided to expand their partnership further across Montreal.

“At eStruxture, we’ve made it part of our mission to offer our customers a varied selection of accessible, diverse high-performance network connectivity solutions. By leveraging our vibrant ecosystem of dark fiber providers, carriers, service providers and network operators, we’re able to support enterprises that need fast, dedicated connectivity to maximize network reach and quality of service. We’re honored that Cogent has opted to expand its footprint within our ecosystem, enabling us to grow together in the Montreal market.” – Todd Coleman, CEO of eStruxture.

Cogent will offer Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) at MTL-2, greater diversifying eStruxture’s connectivity offerings at the facility. DIA offers a method to avoid complications associated with deploying data-intensive applications across shared internet connections. The dedicated bandwidth that comes with DIA proves particularly valuable to efficiently executing operations such as cloud computing, VoIP, and remote desktop connections.
