Global Telecoms Business (GTB) recently released its 2010 top Forty Under Forty List. This list consists of the top forty leaders in the telecom industry under forty years old. Submissions came in from across the globe and the list was complied of those young industry thought leaders leading the way for telecommunication innovation today and into tomorrow. A follow up to this initial list will be a special feature on each of these 40 individuals which will showcase their views on the main issues concerning the telecom industry throughout the course of the year.
Hunter Newby, CEO of Allied Fiber was one of the individuals selected for this prestigious list. Mr.Newby is a true telecom visionary with over 12 years of industry experience and is currently building a next generation dark fiber network throughout the United States. The first phase of this network connects New York to Chicago, New York to Ashburn, VA and Chicago to Ashburn, VA. As part of Mr. Newby’s vision, Allied Fiber is designed to address the need for broadband access, wireless backhaul and lower latency through new, long haul dark fiber construction with an open access philosophy.
