DE-CIX, announced today that it has deployed four supernodes across the city of Frankfurt to support its new flagship DE-CIX Apollon platform. This will complete the optical backbone of Apollon, making it the utmost in reliability and scalability. As the world’s largest and most advanced Ethernet platform, Apollon now delivers a total capacity of 12Tbps across its mesh-network topology.
DE-CIX is also deploying a new switching platform later this year, which when combined with the new optical layer, will enable over 300 100Gig ports across the entire optical network.
