Heading to NYC next week? Don’t miss our very own Founder and CEO, Jaymie Scotto Cutaia, as she moderates the “Hurricane Sandy: Lessons Learned” panel at IMN’s 3rd Annual Spring Forum on Financing, Investing & Real Estate Development for Data Centers. The not-to-miss panel will feature the expertise of industry veterans, Robert Bianco, Vice President and General Manager for tw telecom Manhattan; Mike Sevret, Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer for Cross River Fiber; Nathan Boylan, Head of IT Operations for Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC; John Bonczek, Vice President for Telx, and Walter Greaney, Senior Asset Manager-Portfolio Management of Digital Realty. This critical conversation on network continuity and disaster recovery will kick off day two of the event, on Friday May 31 at the Conrad Hotel in New York City at 8:30 AM.
The discussion will include panelists’ ‘real-life’ stories on coping with Superstorm Sandy and the resulting aftermath that affected millions of Americans on the East Coast last October, with a particular focus on network recovery in the New York City and Northern New Jersey area. The panel will explore the necessary actions businesses should consider, including the redundancy of network infrastructure, employee staffing and crisis management, to prevent future network outages and natural disasters.
“I am privileged to be chairing such an important panel at the upcoming IMN conference,” comments Cutaia “Superstorm Sandy was the deadliest hurricane to hit the Northeast in 40 years and the second-costliest in the nation’s history. The takeaway lessons from this disaster have proven so valuable not only for our industry, but also for our country’s communication infrastructure. I am especially honored to lead what will be a dynamic discussion among the top industry experts on business continuity and disaster recovery in the New York metro area.”
