JSA’s 24/7/365 networking app, CEO Exchange, has launched a fun, new campaign starting this month called “CEO of the Month.” Each month it will honor one of its CEO members as a way for us to get to him or her better. The CEO Exchange was designed for industry C-levels to meet, network and collaborate in a meaningful manner, not just by discussing the challenges and opportunities facing the telecom, tech and content-driven industries but to set an action plan together for next positive steps forward.
Next up, Colo Atl’s Tim Kiser:
How long have you been the CEO of Colo Atl?
17+ years (Owner & Founder)
What do you love most about your job and why?
My greatest joy comes from helping all of my tenants be financially successful and and scale in our facility.
What do you dislike most about your job and why?
It’s most trying when I have to act as a collection agency every 5th of the month.
What is your biggest concern or challenge as a CEO?
My mind is always on keeping my promise of three things: ensuring power is on 24/7/365; ensuring there is no heat in the colo facility (if you do, I will take it out), and God forbid, ensuring there are no fires.
What do you see as your biggest opportunity in the next 12 months ahead (for your company and/or the industry at large)?
Who do you look up to?
God and my family elders.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Flying and enjoying life in general.
How do you want to be remembered?
‘Tim was tough but he was the fairest man I met….’
If given the ability, what is one thing you would change about the world?
To have everyone live and grow up in the culture I did growing up, complete with regular family get togethers and no political correctness, and to let kids be kids.
Any closing thoughts?
I’m very fortunate that God has let me be successful with the many hours of hard work I have put in throughout the years and being blessed with great health and many friends.
