CENX has proudly announced the appointment of Edward Kennedy as its new President and CEO. As a CENX Board of Directors member with over 30 years of industry experience building global networks, Edward will leverage the valuable insight he’s gained into company operations, personnel and overall strategy to steer the ship.
“We are very excited to welcome Ed as the new President and CEO of CENX,” said Sean Dalton, Chairman of the board at CENX. “Having spent more than 30 years building global networks, Ed has an extensive understanding of the service provider landscape and appreciates the importance of having real-time actionable network intelligence. His experience gives him the unique industry insight that CENX was looking for in order to further reinforce its leadership position in the telecommunications software market.”
In a recent JSA TV Interview, Edward discusses his expectations for his new role and shares his unique industry insight.
Edward has served in executive positions for many telecommunications companies over the years, most recently as the Chairman, CEO, and President of Tollgrade Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLGD). His other previous executive leadership roles include CEO/President of Rivulet Communications, Inc., President of Tellabs North American Operations, Executive Vice President of Tellabs, and Co-Founder of Ocular Networks. He has also held various executive positions at leading telecom equipment companies, including Alcatel and Newbridge Networks Corporation.
The news of Edward’s appointment as the new CEO of CENX has been getting a lot of attention. In a recent article Light Reading exclaimed, “While he may not be of the presidential Kennedy lineage, the new CENX boss is royalty in the optical networking space.”
The Ottawa Business Journal was equally pleased to talk about how Edward is “coming home” to Canada’s capital city, bringing his broad and global experience back to Ottawa, to help grow the CENX business along-side its 210+ employees.
SDX Central focused on the influx of recent successes that CENX has announced including their NFV service assurance deal with Verizon, and how the onboarding of their new CEO will help drive them through their expected rapid growth.
“I am very excited to lead the outstanding team that CENX has assembled,” said Edward Kennedy. “Service providers are contending with escalating demand and increasingly complex networks. CENX is uniquely positioned to help them address these challenges at scale by fundamentally changing the way service providers view the network.”
