GlobeNet unveiled its newest office location in Rio de Janeiro at a customer event held this week. Rio de Janeiro is a key city for GlobeNet, which leverages its regional expertise to connect carriers and service providers to Brazil. The office is located in the heart of the city in Rio’s RB1 and is not only known for its modern design, but is also one of the most connected buildings in all of Brazil.
GlobeNet currently touts the largest on-net capillarity in Brazil and gains a new Point of Presence (PoP) in RB1, growing its Brazilian PoP list to three: Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza and São Paulo. The PoP will enhance connectivity for customers thanks to the diverse network paths connecting to GlobeNet’s secure, low latency submarine cable system.
“Rio de Janeiro is a key city in South America and our presence will allow our team to better serve our Brazilian customers,” said Erick W. Contag, President and Chief Operating Officer of GlobeNet.
“It is critical for us to be close to our customers and to have our fingers on the pulse of the local and regional telecoms and service provider community,” added Marco Salomão, Country Manager and Regional Director of Sales.
