The goal of APTelecom’s ‘State of Subsea’ event is to establish a forum for participants to discuss and ultimately improve communications within the submarine cable industry. “Allied Fiber’s long-haul dark fiber model is differentiated and complimented by the addition of short-haul and lateral fiber construction from our route directly to multiple subsea cable landing stations providing dedicated, physical access to the global network architecture,” comments Mr. Newby. “Discussing subsea in the emerging global economic market is as important as ever. The challenges and successes Allied Fiber has experienced with our recent construction of dark fiber for backhaul from subsea landing points will allow for a thoughtful exchange of ideas.”

To add to its many successes in the last year, Allied Fiber is currently finishing the construction of its Southeast route between Miami and Jacksonville, Florida.  The Southeast route includes direct access to multiple subsea landing stations throughout Florida. In addition to its own dark fiber cable, the company owns and operates its own network-neutral colocation facilities every 60 miles along the route.
