THE YEAR OF COMPETITIVE INSIGHT, AI & ABM

Celebrating our 15-year milestone anniversary, JSA invested in cutting-edge tools, including AI-driven SEO and PPC platforms and on-demand competitive intel, to ensure we are delivering the latest, smart performance and analysis for our clients. We are applying this data to better understand our clients’ Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), so our prospect messaging is on-point, in front of the right eyeballs, and via multiple, informative channels.  This focus on Account-Based Marketing (ABM) has already yielded impressive results for our early adopters and JSA, including reducing close time and longer client retention. 2019

THE YEAR OF EXPANSION

According to Analysys Mason, the telecom industry revenue in North America will increase to $477 billion in 2023, largely driven by an increase in fixed segment revenue, mobile data revenue and rapid IoT growth.  And in true JSA fashion,  we are fully committed to supporting our industry’s growth and the consistent delivery of our JSA gold-star quality services to our clients and community.   In 2019,  we welcomed new clients to our JSA Family: American Meetings, Ascent, Connected2Fiber, DQE Communications, Element Critical, Global Peering Forum (GPF), Gold Data, Hellman Electric, Intenna Systems, Peerless Network, Redline Communications, ServerFarm, Telxius, vXchnge and WireWerks.   We also welcomed new family members Melanie Blenis, Elle Bretz, Erin Butler, Stefanie Cronin, Kealey Dorian, Mary LaDuke, Taylor Levy, Talia  Mejia and Laura Noland.   2019 marked the most new clients and team members added within a 12-month time in JSA history.

2018

 THE YEAR OF INCLUSION

In 2018,  JSA’s focus was community and inclusion, with a commitment to bringing the data center, tech and telecom industries closer and more connected than ever before.  Following the success of Telecom Exchange (TEX) 2.0, where events are more about gathering the ecosystem’s decision makers and less about trade show floors with exhibit tables, JSA held its TEX events in two locations in 2018: New York and Los Angeles.  Also in 2018,  JSA announced the JSA Release, an online press release writing and distribution platform, designed for tech and telecom startups that have breaking news but also a limited budget.  JSA also launched a tech and telecom-industry wide ‘Women’s Speaking Initiative”, with TEX LA becoming the first industry event to have a woman speaker in every panel.  We also introduced Amy Chovanec as JSA’s new Exchange Director, and welcomed new clients to the JSA Family: Anova Technologies, DataBankEdgeConnexeStruxtureHylanMaven WaveMosaic NetworXPrecisionOTScalableStream Data Centers, and XSite Modular.

2017

THE YEAR OF LEAD GENERATION VIDEO

As a lead generation partner for its clients,  JSA introduced the “Walkout,” care of its cutting-edge tech partner VERB. The JSA Walkout is a new ‘push to screen’ technology that allows our clients to deliver urgent messages to the screens of employees, partners, prospects, media or investors, without recipients having to open a browser or other program. JSA also celebrated its 10th and 11th Telecom Exchange (TEX), in NYC and LA respectfully.  In late 2017, JSA announced the transformation of its TEX event to TEX 2.0, an invite-only, C-level networking event that provides unparalleled collaboration, education and one-on-one engagement.  JSA also welcomed these clients to the JSA Family: Altice, CENX, DataSite, netsapiensNJFX,  Pinnaca, Southern Telecom, and Telamon.

2016

THE YEAR OF TECH & TELECOM CONVERGENCE

Never before has technology and telecommunications looked so, well, similar. We have reached a critical point where cognitive and cloud computing, big data analytics, enterprise mobility, 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) are transforming businesses. As such, we expanded too. JSA’s Telecom Exchange (TEX) event – Where Communications and Technology Meet – held annually in NYC, expanded into LA. We launched our JSA TV Virtual Roundtables, and increased our onsite presence as an instrumental media partner at key industry events. We also introduced JSA Podcasts, our industry’s source for expert interviews, on iHeartRadio.  JSA also unveiled “JSA Canada,” as we expanded our relationships with our great “Neighbor to the North!” We welcomed Cross River Fiber, DRG Undersea ConsultingNJFX, Salus Telehealth, and Wilcon to our client ecosystem and we brought on Barb Mitchell to head up our JSA Canada team.

2015

THE YEAR OF EXCELLENCE

This year, we celebrated a decade of delivering exceptional Public Relations, Marketing, Design and Event Services to the telecom industry, and our ability to grow with our clients. We kicked the year off with a number of exciting initiatives that include: a complete rebrand to simply JSA, including a new logo and website launch; a new look and capabilities in our quarterly impact reports for our clients; and first-to-market networking initiatives at our annual Telecom Exchange event.  Our 10-year anniversary campaign also incorporated a series of new offerings:  JSA Radio, Virtual CEO Roundtables and an ‘Open Letter’ blog series on our industry-leading blog Telecom News Now.  We are also happy to welcome LightRiver Technologies , Construction-CAD Solutions, Cleareon Fiber Networks and MRV Communications to our client roster! Candace Sipos and Sarah Branner also joined our JSA family in 2015.

2014

THE YEAR OF SOCIAL NETWORKING

Social networking is a game changer for our business and our clients’ business in PR, marketing, sales, customer service, events, and other business activities. Thanks to social networking, we are able to communicate in new and innovative ways each day. From short video teasers to engaging discussions and interactivity, effective social communications are now critical for marcomm strategies. In other 2014 news for JSA, we have had an amazing year for our Telecom Exchange events. Telecom Exchange West debuted in March in Denver, CO; and our 4th Telecom Exchange East was a huge hit in NYC. Our events team stayed busy with MEF’s GEN14, Time Warner Cable Business Class events, and rocked ITW 2014 with numerous cocktail events and receptions! This year, we expanded our JSA family and welcomed Jaclyn Riback and Courtney Burrows.  In exciting client news, we are honored to welcome Avotus, bBooth, BCS Global, Metcom, NexxCom Wireless, Padtec, RCN Business, Vertix Consulting and Westell.

2013

THE YEAR OF COHESIVE CAMPAIGNS

JSA kicked off 2013 by further incorporating inbound marketing as a key part of our core strategy to improve clients’ ROI and drive real leads. By integrating our digital strategies into a comprehensive marketing and PR campaign, we have helped our clients generate, convert, nurture and track leads into sales. In 2013, we welcomed a number of fantastic new family members, including Meghan Rose McNally, Matthew Pera, and Vincent Ascolese. To perfectly time our decision to grow our own Telecom Exchange event and extend to the West Coast, our events team largely expanded with the wonderful new additions of Terri Goggins and Krista Puleri. Our art department grew with the addition of our amazing Art Director, Katherine Campbell. Last, but certainly not least, we had the honor of providing our services to our beloved clients, DatacenterDynamicsDE-CIXFirstLight Fiber,  Metro Ethernet Forum (for its GEN14 event), New York Internet, Peak, TNCI, WireIE and more.

2012

THE YEAR OF INNOVATION

JSA kicks off 2012 with a new website, enhanced blog, the most advanced lead generation tools, more networking and branding opportunities at Telecom Exchange 2012, and a growing, stellar team and client roster. We welcome Christine Keck as our JSA Account Director, Shannon Ashe as JSA Events Coordinator, Matthew Sabio as JSA Account Coordinator and Colo AtlOptelian, ViaWest, Optica Network Technologies, Auris Technology, Peg Bandwidth, Rimhub, tw telecom (NYC), and 1547 Critical Systems Realty to our client roster.

2011

THE YEAR OF TEX AND JSA TV

JSA hosted its inaugural Telecom Exchange (TEX) networking event at Cipriani Wall Street.  Over 100 exhibitors, 71 sponsors and 500 attendees joined us as we provided a neutral showroom for colocation and service providers in the New York tri-state area.  JSA also launched JSA TV, a virtual newsroom for telecom professionals, as another tool to help our clients  get the word out to their targeted marketplaces. Additionally, the company announced its newly structured Research Department, headed by Karissa Campbell.  JSA continued its growth strategy by welcoming industry vet Dean Perrine as one of our top writers and executives and Lisa Garrison as our Director of Finance. Our clients grew too, including welcoming Zayo and Lightower (now Crown Castle) to our client roster.

2010

THE YEAR OF TELECOM SPEED NETWORKING

Celebrating our fifth year of business, JSA officially unveiled its Events Department and hosted its first and second Telecom One-on-One events in NYC, encouraging telecom executives to “speed network.”  JSA also assisted at the International Telecoms Week (ITW) event on May 24-26 in DC, representing JSA’s fourth year as ITW’s PR firm.  In April 2010, JSA introduced the first issue of Telecom News and Trends (TNT), the industry’s monthly video newsletter.

2009

THE YEAR OF GROWTH

2009 ushered in significant growth for JSA, at a time when much of the global economy was staggering.  In January, JSA helped Hibernia Atlantic launch a new network build to link Northern Ireland with North America and Europe. Additionally, after its acquisition by a leading private equity firm, JSA assisted Tinet (now Inteliquent/GTT) in its unveiling. JSA signed Mzima Networks, TELEHOUSE,  and ITW 2009, and expanded its relationship with Arbinet (now PTGi). JSA also welcomed our beloved Karissa Campbell, Lauren Lemoi and Vanessa Eixman to the JSA family.

2008

THE YEAR OF ADVANCEMENT

Jaymie Scotto Cutaia, founder of JSA, kicked off the year by establishing DealCenter, LLC, turning one of JSA’s event planning tools, an online one-on-one meeting management system, into its own company.  In February, JSA is selected by Tiscali International Network (now Inteliquent) for its US Public Relations and then three months later, the company increased its relationship with JSA, selecting us for its global PR work.  2008 was also the year when client Lexent Metro Connect selected JSA to launch its new company brand and website.  And on July 18, JSA unveiled Telecom News Now, its daily industry blog featuring client and industry news.

2005-2007

STRONG BEGINNINGS

JSA was founded January 2005 as the first and only PR and marketing firm dedicated to telecom by Jaymie Scotto Cutaia.  In March 2005, JSA signed its first client, Hibernia Atlantic (now GTT) a global subsea and terrestrial cable operator, who was one of JSA’s longest client relationships, staying with us for 12 years until it was acquired in 2017.  In June 2005, JSA organized the telx (now Digital Realty) Customer Business Exchange, including sponsorship acquisitions, signage, vendor negotiations and attendee and media outreach.  In October 2005, JSA organized HKColo‘s first HKCONNECT, an industry networking event held in Hong Kong.  In August 2006, Michael Corr joined the JSA team as Director of Brand Development.  And 2007 brought us such long-lasting client relationships as GlobeNet, 4Connections and more.
